We also got to learn some traditional Hawaiian songs and even a hula dance. In Science we loved being able to make our very own volcanoes and even got to make them erupt! Take a look at all the fun we’ve had!

Táimid ag foghlaim faoin Éadaí as Gaeilge sa Rang Alder. Rinneamar Seó Faisean as Gaeilge leis an foclóir nua. Scríobhamar script don Seó. Ansin, shiúil duine amháin síos an ardán taispeána agus rinne a gcara cur síos don a n-éadaí. Nach bhfuil an Rang Alder faiseanta?!
We are learning all about Éadaí as Gaeilge in Alder Class! We did a Fashion Show as Gaeilge to show off all our new vocabulary and adjectives. We wrote a script for the show. Then one person walked down the runway while their friend described their clothes. Aren't Alder Class fashionable? :) We’re having a great time in Alder Class starting all our work on Hawaii for Intercultural May! We were brainstorming what we knew and want to know. We then filled in some fact files about Hawaii which were very interesting. We started working on our projects in our groups as well, looking at all different topics such as Food; History and Mythology; Traditions, Celebrations and Clothes; Nature and Environment; and Arts, Music and Sports. We can’t wait to learn more!
To finish off our work on Ireland, we made our own Pom Pom farm animals just using yarn. We found it hard at first and it took a long time but we persisted and ended up with super cute chicks and sheep! Well done 4th Class!
Our theme for March was medicine and diseases. We made are own real life lungs using plastic bottles, balloons, tape and straws. We cut the bottom of the bottle. Then we tied the top of a ballon and cut a bit of the other side. We put balloons on straws and taped them together. We had great fun learning all about the lungs!
