Let it Snow!!! A sneaky trip outside to enjoy the snow last week!
-Kamilah Class (Anam, Kayleigh, cherish, Anjola, Zoe, Lena, Sofia & Halley) It was very fun when we were in the zoom meeting. Its a really fantastic feeling when you are making a book. I really hope that more kids in the future can make their own story. Making stories are fun but doing it as a class is 10 times better! We made our book with the fighting words, the sad thing is that the Editor was really mean to us but in the end it was fantastic. The book we made was called “Ricky the Venomous Scorpion”. The book is about a scorpion named Ricky and his best friend is a fox who is afraid of ice and how they saw their worst enemy, Loaf the evil snake. By Daneen Take a look at the work we have done all about Greece! We enjoyed making our projects about Greek Gods and working together to present our group projects about different areas of Greece. We also completed our Greek pots. We are very proud of our work.  This month we did projects about Greece. We did the projects about Greek art and music, natural environment, sports etc. We had to put a lot of effort into it, and it was really worth it. All the projects were great with loads of facts we had no clue about! We really enjoyed creating the projects and then presenting them. We had great great fun and hope we can present them all to you. In art, we were making pottery (Greek pots) using clay and water. To make them we got clay and made small circles, then make bigger and bigger circles. We also smoothed them out and scratched the side and stuck all the parts together. While painting them we used the colors brown, white and orange.After painting them we done are design ideas with sharpie. It was so fun I hope we can do this sometime again! By Yanina Today we finished our clay pots. Last week we used different techniques to manipulate clay. Then we pinched the clay to make Greek pots. It was kind of difficult and a lot of the broke. Then we painted them using dark colours and we used thin brushes to add our details and patterns. We really enjoyed the process! Last Thursday was Outdoor Learning Day in PETNS! 4th class have already done loads of learning outside so far this year including nature walks and school building investigations. On Thursday, we went used our environment to conduct a heat experiment. We predicted and recorded the temperature in different places around our school. We then discussed why the temperatures might differ from place to place. We had great fun acting and thinking like scientists and can’t wait to do more lessons outdoors! In SESE we made lava lamps using water food coloring oil and Alka-seltzer tablets. We had so much fun. The two colors were green and blue. We filled a plastic bottle about a third of the way with water and the rest with oil. We added one drop of food coloring and then put one Alka-seltzer tablet in. We saw the tablet and water fizzing up and down. By Sebastian In PE with Ciaran, we do Athletics and in Athletics we did relay races, javelin throwing, and shot put.
